    The fabric used in this series is a cut jacquard dot pattern fabric that is a mix of linen and cotton. The polka dot pattern has a three-dimensional feel like fringe, giving the design a cute and cool feel. Furthermore, by applying waterproofing and lamination, This umbrella can be used in both rain and shine, with a shading rate and UV protection rate of over 99.99%, making it highly functional.

    About the fabric

    99.9% UV cut, 99.99%+ shading and natural materials

    By laminating the underside of the umbrella fabric with polyurethane material, we have achieved a UV protection rate of over 99.9% and a shading rate of over 99.99%.

    Because the laminate is black, it easily absorbs reflected UV rays, making it ideal for blocking out the sun on hot days.
    The outer surface is made from natural materials, so it looks like a parasol and provides a cool feeling when used.
    Additionally, the black laminate color absorbs the light reflected from the ground, protecting the skin from light coming from above and below.

    Heat shielding rate of over 50% makes it ideal for extreme heat

    The heat shielding effect of this product was tested at the Kaken Testing Center (formerly the Japan Chemical Textile Inspection Association) using the "Heat ray shielding property measurement method," and the product was found to have a heat shielding rate of over 50%.
    *The Japan Western Umbrella Promotion Council has determined that umbrellas have a heat-blocking effect if their test results show a heat-blocking rate of 35% or more.

    100% organic cotton cut dobby without dyes

    This is a 100% organic cotton cut dobby fabric woven with organic yarn without dyes, making the most of the natural color of the cotton. By cutting the yarn in the non-design parts of the dobby woven fabric, a three-dimensional effect like fringe is expressed, resulting in a mature yet cute design.

      Rokuro winding and dowel winding

      The part that moves up and down when opening and closing the umbrella is called the "rokuro" and the joint part of the bone is called the "dabo."
      The process of protecting each of these parts with the umbrella fabric is called "rokuromaki" and "dabomaki," and each part is carefully attached and covered to protect your hands when opening the umbrella and to prevent damage to the ribs, while also creating a traditional beauty and sense of luxury.
      This is an old-fashioned technique that is time-consuming and therefore not seen much these days, but all of Komiya Shoten's long umbrellas are equipped with it.

      Ribs and Shaft

      The ribs are made of steel (iron that has been heat-treated). Steel is heavy compared to other materials, but it is a very strong material. Therefore, it is resistant to wind and has the strength to support the umbrella, so it goes well with fabric and can fully express the beauty of the umbrella's tension.
      It uses a natural center pole made of maple wood, which is highly durable.
