Tachibana 橘-たちばな Long Umbrella 65cm 16ribs

This long umbrella has a beautiful silhouette, with the tension of the umbrella carefully crafted by artisans highlighting the round shape of the 16 ribs. Also, because it has 16 bones, it is strong and resistant to wind, but it is also lightweight because it uses carbon bones.

The part that moves up and down when opening and closing the umbrella is called the "rokuro" and the joint part of the bone is called the "dabo."
The process of protecting each of these parts with the umbrella fabric is called "rokuromaki" and "dabomaki," and each part is carefully attached and covered to protect your hands when opening the umbrella and to prevent damage to the ribs, while also creating a traditional beauty and sense of luxury.
This is an old-fashioned technique that is time-consuming and therefore not seen much these days, but all of Komiya Shoten's long umbrellas are equipped with it.

The ribs are made of the lightest and hardest carbon fiber material. It is a very light material, yet extremely strong and wind resistant. It is also a rust-free material, making it easy to maintain on a daily basis.
